Q&A

Common customer questions — know these answers.

⌚ Xiaomi Watch 5 — iPhone Compatibility

"Why doesn't Xiaomi Watch 5 work with iPhone?"
  • That's a fair question. Xiaomi Watch 5 runs on Wear OS by Google, which is designed to work with compatible Android phones, so iPhone pairing isn't supported on this model.
  • The benefit of that is, if you use an Android phone, you get a fuller smartwatch experience — things like Google apps, Gemini on your wrist, Google Play apps, maps, payments and more.
  • But if you're using an iPhone, I wouldn't recommend this one, because I don't want you to buy a watch that won't pair properly with your phone. A better fit would be Xiaomi Watch S5. It keeps that premium round watch design, works with iPhone, and still gives you strong health, sleep and fitness tracking. You won't get Gemini, but for everyday wellbeing and sports use, it's still a very capable choice.

🔥 Phone Overheating

"Why is my new Xiaomi phone overheating?"

Indeed the unusually warm weather in the past two days could be a potential cause of the phone overheating. Currently, the temperature is relatively high in summer, and the phone itself is a high-performance electronic device. During charging, navigation, taking photos and videos, playing games, downloading updates, enabling 5G, or long-term use, the processor and battery will generate heat. If the ambient temperature is high, the heat dissipation speed will slow down, and the phone will feel significantly hotter. This is a normal physical phenomenon and does not indicate a quality issue with the phone.

The phone has a built-in temperature protection mechanism. When the temperature is too high, the system may automatically reduce performance, limit the charging speed, or even temporarily disable some functions. This is to protect the safety of the battery and hardware, and the phone can continue to be used after the temperature returns to normal.

Advice for customers:

  • Avoid using your phone for extended periods in direct sunlight
  • Try not to play large-scale games or record videos for an extended period while charging
  • You can temporarily close high-power-consuming apps to let the phone rest for a few minutes
  • Use original or standard-compliant chargers and data cables

💳 Band 10 Pro — NFC Payment Support

"Which cards does Band 10 Pro NFC support?"

Supports only Mastercard from the following card organizations:

  • Curve UK Limited
  • Monavate Limited
  • Moorwand Ltd

Tip: If the customer's bank isn't listed, suggest Curve — it acts as a wrapper that lets you add any Mastercard/Visa card and use it via Curve's Mastercard on the Band 10 Pro.

1️⃣ Clarity — "Clarity redefined"

Tech: Xiaomi HyperRGB — full RGB subpixel array, enhanced clarity, lower power. Up to 464 PPI CrystalRes. 144Hz (17T Pro) / 1–120Hz LTPO Adaptive Pro (17 Ultra & 17). LIPO packaging: 1.18mm bezels.

Benefit: Razor-sharp text, effortless scrolling, edge-to-edge display.

🎤 Demo Script:

① Open BBC News on 17 Ultra: "Notice how clean the small text looks? That's HyperRGB. Every pixel has its own full red, green, blue."

② Open Instagram on 17T Pro: "Give this a proper flick — 144 frames every second. Once you've used this, 120 feels like wading through treacle."

③ On the 17, stop scrolling: "Right now the screen's dropped to 1Hz — barely sipping power while you read."

④ Hold 17 face-on: "1.18mm bezels all the way round. It's practically all screen."

"I mostly just scroll TikTok — sharpness isn't something I think about"
"That's actually where you'll feel it most — captions, comments, and the scroll itself. Give it 30 seconds."
"Can anyone really tell 120 from 144?"
"Scroll for a minute, then swap to 120Hz. Most people describe their old phone as 'sticky'. Once you see it, you can't unsee it."
"Surely 144Hz hammers the battery?"
"17T Pro pairs 144Hz with 7000mAh — over 20 hours. The 17 and Ultra use Adaptive Pro: 1Hz reading, 120Hz scrolling."

2️⃣ Brightness — "Super clarity under bright sunlight"

Tech: 3500 nits multi-scenario peak — highest in flagship market. Super Sunlight Display. 17T Pro adds 1-nit ultra-dimness.

Benefit: Readable in any lighting, stunning HDR, comfortable in darkness.

🎤 Demo Script:

① Google Maps near window: "Sun's fully out, checking your route — see how the map stays legible? 3500 nits fighting the glare."

② YouTube 4K HDR on 17T Pro: "Look at those highlights — sun reflections glow without washing everything else out."

③ Dim 17T Pro to minimum: "At night — 1 nit. Check WhatsApp in bed without lighting up the room."

"This is the UK — we barely get proper sunshine"
"Even on a grey day, outdoor light is brighter than you'd expect. Holiday, festival, sunny window on the train — that's when you'll appreciate it."
"I just turn my brightness up to max"
"Manual slider caps at 1000–1500 nits. 3500 kicks in automatically via the ambient sensor. It's headroom you can't reach by dragging a slider."
"Doesn't that destroy the battery?"
"Only fires at peak when conditions demand it. The Ultra's HyperRGB uses 26% less power than traditional OLED."

3️⃣ Colour — "Original Colour Pro"

Tech: 100% DCI-P3 across full lineup. 68 billion colours (Ultra). Original Colour Pro CMF 2025. Delta E<0.37 (17T). Adaptive Colours (17).

Benefit: Colours match real life. Online shopping arrives looking exactly as on screen.

🎤 Demo Script:

① ASOS/Zara product: "See that burgundy? If it looks burgundy here, it'll be burgundy when it arrives. No colour surprises."

② Gallery portrait on 17 Ultra: "Notice the skin tones — natural, not too warm, not too cool. 68 billion colours and CMF 2025."

③ Walk between warm/cool-lit areas on 17: "Watch the whites on screen — see how they stay consistent? That's Adaptive Colours."

"I've ordered things online and they arrived a different colour"
"That's usually the screen you're viewing it on. Delta E under 0.37 — pro-grade accuracy, like a studio editing monitor."
"The colours look a bit more muted"
"That's accuracy — reality rather than oversaturation. Vivid mode is one tap away in settings."
"What does DCI-P3 mean in normal language?"
"The colour range cinemas use. About 25% more colours than older phone screens. Richer reds, deeper greens, more lifelike skin tones."

4️⃣ Eye Care — "Xiaomi Vision Care"

Tech: 4 key areas, 35 indicators. TÜV Quadruple (17T series). 3840Hz PWM + DC dimming. 75% blue light reduction. 16,000 dimming levels. 360° dual-light sensor. Circadian Rhythm Management.

Benefit: Adapts to environment, time and habits. Less fatigue, better sleep — TÜV certified.

🎤 Demo — All-scenario Eye Care:

Outdoor: Near window — "Screen auto-boosts, eyes stay relaxed in direct light."

Low-Light: Dim 17T to lowest — "Most phones invisibly flicker at this level. This runs at 3840Hz. Effectively flicker-free."

Reading: Enable Reading Mode + Kindle — "Tone shifts warmer and softer. Simulating paper."

Sleep: Show circadian scheduling — "From sunset, colour temperature warms gradually. Blue light drops, brain gets the wind-down signal."

"I already use dark mode at night"
"Dark mode helps with brightness, but doesn't address flicker or hardware-level blue light. This tackles both. Dark mode plus Vision Care is the complete package."
"Is all this eye care stuff actually real?"
"TÜV Rheinland is an independent German testing authority — same organisation that certifies car safety and medical equipment. Four certifications = four rigorous lab tests."
"What's PWM and why should I care?"
"How screens dim — they flicker on and off quickly. Lower frequency = more eye fatigue. Most phones: 240–480Hz. This: 3840Hz — so fast your eyes can't register any flicker."

📦 CPS Delivery

What is CPS?

Wrong promises = complaints, escalations, lost trust. Getting it right = happy customers, repeat business.

Key Rules

  • 3-minute briefing with customer on delivery expectations
  • NEVER promise delivery dates, installation, or combined delivery until you've checked CPS order logistics status
  • Use customer-friendly language when explaining timelines
  • For escalation: include order number, product, issue summary, and customer contact

Practical Tasks

  • Check customer CPS order logistics status before promising anything
  • Practise the 3-minute briefing with a colleague
  • Write an escalation email with all required information

Quick Check

  • What is the typical delivery time for a 55" TV?
